Key Dates

Below you will find exam administration and exam application dates for PANCE, PANRE, PANRE Longitudinal Assessment (PANRE-LA), and CAQs. Check your PA Portal to see when you are eligible to apply.

PANCE & PANRE

These exams are administered at Pearson VUE testing centers during the dates below.

Administration windows

  • January 2, 2024 – December 18, 2024
  • January 2, 2025 – December 18, 2025

 

PANRE-LA

PAs who choose the PANRE Longitudinal Assessment to meet their certification maintenance requirements will apply in the 6th year of their cycle.

Application windows

  • For PAs due to recertify in 2028: July 1, 2024 – December 18, 2024
  • For PAs due to recertify in 2029: July 1, 2025 – December 18, 2025

Quarterly administration windows

Each quarterly administration window is approximately 10 weeks. NCCPA will send email notifications when questions are available and when deadlines are approaching. However, we recommend adding these dates to your calendar to ensure you don’t miss a deadline.

CAQs

The upcoming CAQ administrations are below, and PAs can apply for the 2024 CAQ administrations through September 6, 2024. The application window for the 2025 CAQ administrations opens on January 1, 2025, and runs through September 5, 2025.

  • Test Center Administrations
    • September 9 -14, 2024
    • March 24 – 29, 2025
    • September 8 – 13, 2025
  • Online Administrations (for maintaining a currently held CAQ)
    • February 10, 2025 – March 24, 2025
  • Special Administrations (hosted in conjunction with the annual specialty conferences)
    • Psychiatry:  November 2 and 4, 2024
    • Emergency Medicine:  March 14 – 15, 2025
