NCCPA Announces New Geriatric Medicine CAQ
The NCCPA Board of Directors recently considered a proposal from the Geriatric Medicine PA Association and subsequently approved the development of a Certificate of Added Qualifications (CAQ) in Geriatric Medicine.
This decision comes as the U.S. population ages, health care provider shortages worsen and demand for a specialized PA credential in geriatric care rises.
“NCCPA strives to support the credentialing needs of the PA profession to help PAs remain competitive in the job market so they can continue to have such a tremendous impact in caring for patients,” said NCCPA President and CEO Dawn Morton-Rias, Ed.D., PA-C, ICE-CCP, FACHE.
